Kirra Thomas

A graduate of the Guildhall School of Music & Drama (B.Mus Hons, M.Mus) and Royal Conservatory of The Hague, with additional studies at the Aspen Music Festival in the USA, Kirra enjoys a career embracing the full range of violin performance. In addition to her work with orchestras such as Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, London Mozart Players and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Kirra also specialises in Historical Performance and has performed with most of the top ensembles in this genre, including Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, English Concert, The Sixteen and Gabrieli Players. She has guest lead the Hanover Band on several occasions & appears on over 40 CD recordings. On the other end of the musical spectrum, Kirra has enjoyed touring the world with Sting, performing on shows such as Jonathan Ross, Graham Norton Show and Chatty Man with Alan Carr and working with artists including Goldie, Pete Tong, Jarvis Cocker, Aphex Twin, Ben Folds, Emilie Sandé, and Tim Minchin as part of her work as a member of the Heritage Orchestra.
